Tom,

I have swapped module's and every indication is that the problem is in the
load cell. I have re-soldered the connection at the load cell and the
erratic and somewhat random signal continues to output from the load cell.
So I guess we better order another one.

I have some demos/briefings coming up next week and the week after. I was
wondering if Rod could help me apply the master slave patch so that no5 runs
in displacement mode and tracks no6. The Bridge Test Working group wants me
to be able to apply the master slave patch as a contingency if a load cell
goes bad during the official durability testing. I think this is something
doable over the phone or if Rod sets up the file I can start it up like we
did when the other load cells were bad.

Pat

Pat: Yes, the load cells have a one year warranty. Your warranty started
on November 2, 2001, and will last until Nov. 2, 2002. I think you are
looking at the right items, Any defect in the cable, or moisture in the
connector, would show up when you swapped the cable. Was the module also
swapped, to rule out any possibility of a funky module?
If the load cell is defective, after you check the solder joint, then let me
know and I will get a new load cell on order. Tom Kaufman
